New Year's grreeting cards

Today I wrote the New Year's greeting cards.

Japanese has custom of sending New Year's cards.

We usually used prepaid New Year's pstcards with lottery numbers.
The lottery results is announced in mid or late January.

Nagasaki castella

I got cakes from Nagasaki trip of my brother.

This is castella , Japanese sponge cakes with three sorts of flavour,honey, chocolate, green tea.
It's made of sugar, flour, eggs, and starch syrup.

It's good for athrete too,  because it contains abundant nutrituon.

Peko chan


She is Fujiya's mascot, Peko chan.
Fujiya is a nationwide chain of confectionary stores and restaurants in Japan.

Her costume is changed every season.
Today she is in Santa costume.

Tokoname5

The purpose of my visit to Tokoname is to go to INAX TILE MUSEUM.






This is the only tile museum in Japan.

I wanted to study the history of tiles and see tiles in the world.




           The oldest tiles in the world.

Tokoname4



They are Tokoname ware.

I bought a pair of cups and a rice bowl in Tokoname.

The cups are modern , the bowl is a classical.

There is 'Yakimono Sanpomichi' ( Pottery Path)  in the city.


We walked and bought seramics for souvenir.
